One of the rich kids eh? ? I could only afford a Schwinn Viking. I still have my 1977 Viscount Sebring 10-spd that I bought new; the last British-made Viscounts before Yamaha bought them out.
? Hardly. I started out with a yellow Huffy Scout, tan seat and chrome fenders. I’d peddle that thing as hard as I could and it’d stop 10ft later lol. It took several birthdays to save for the Continental. I’ll never forget going into the Schwinn dealer and ordering mine in candy apple red. Man I wish I still had that beauty lol.

Maybe this had been said before but why do we have a 10 speed trans that skips gears?
The same reason you have 14 golf clubs in the bag, but don't use them all on every hole. ;)

Different transmission modes, vehicle loads, and driving conditions require different power distribution. It will use the most effective gear to meet the programmed response to the situation. The programmed response is primarily aimed at fuel efficiency and that is not always achieved by using every gear.

I wish we had physical knobs for the AC speed controls. I constantly mistake the volume knob for the AC controls. It doesn't help our other car, a 2014 Honda Civic, has AC speed controls in the exact same place as a physical knob. Now when I drive the Civic I regularly turn up the AC speed while intending to turn up the volume.

My Viking was Apple Green. I think that was the only color available. It was the entry level 10 speed; conventional tires, not gummies, side pull brakes.

I do. My golf score and my bowling score are the reverse of most people.

Armrest ... hate it , put a slighty padded fabric cover over it and helped tremendously but it's still too far back and too short or both ... I would gladly sacrifice that one cup holder to get a proper armrest...

I typically leave my ASS on, but I wish they would put a 2-3 second hold in it. When parking, I come to a stop and the ASS shuts the motor off, and then starts again when I put it in Park. I now remember most of the time to shut it off with the key while still in Drive, then put it in Park.

I have another one to add to my growing list...Bad Breath! ? I just had my haircut and the lady who does it had the worst breath, like she just ate a couple cloves of garlic. When you're working this close with others please use some breath fresheners or some gum.

It doesn't help that I have a nose like a Bloodhound either. lol We'll be sitting in traffic and I'll smell someone smoking 5 cars up ahead or smell food from a restaurant way before she will.

Pulling the door handle two times to get out of my truck.

I guess if the door is locked you pull once to unlock it and a second time to open the door. Either that or I screwed up reinstalling my door latch when installing the auto window down module. I can't remember how it was before that.
I put my hand in, wait a moment for it to sense it, hear it unlock, and then pull.

ASS is disabled on my truck, so not relevant.

Central North Carolina in the summer - The AC stays on! 90F+ with 90+% humidity. I'll test with AC off sometime today.

Thanks for the observation!

-T
Our temps here are similar to yours. My AC stays on always 9 months of the year.:whew: However, I have no hesitation at take off. I would get it checked out.

Idiots on this forum who block you, and then quote you.

Yes, I'm looking at you @Don B.

Which is it?

Are you afraid of my opinion? Or do you want a discussion? You can't have it both ways, dude.
