What do you guys use in the bed for transporting groceries or other thing after shopping. Don't want things all over the bed while driving.
Cars/SUVs have trunks.

Thanks.
I use the trunk. It works great.

Pretty low tech - I just use one of those collapsible road bars and a tub.
Comes out in a snap, but probably works best with a cover, tho.

Just put the wife back there to hold the bags. Slider closed, you won't be able to hear her. :like:
Just make sure you have a damper on there. It'll slow her down and give you a head start when she comes after you. ?

Yes I have a drop in bed liner and they're super slippery. The mat keeps everything from sliding all over the place. I think I remember some saying they picked up a cheap rubber mat at Harbor Freight. It's not going to fit all the edges perfect like OEM but it'll still work keeping most stuff from going everywhere.
Awesome thanks mate!

Plastic box for groceries. Have 2.
Bungie cords at different locations. Reduce sliding and keep boxes in place. Two Ford side boxes for small items also.

I am currently using one of these, Car Trunk Organizer. It is bungeed just on the right side and stays in place nicely.

However, I think I like the the bed extender solution more...just another thing to add to my growing Ranger to do list. $$$

I just used a 2x10 and cut the lower corners at a 45 degree angle. I might cut a couple of handles at the top with a router to make it a bit easier to get in and out.
I have the exact same set up. Mine is only doubled up on the ends to save weight. I have loops screwed in so I can bungee things to it as eell. Keeps my tool box, grocery bags and anything else right at the back so I can get it.

I've also thought about drilling some 2 or 3 inch holes to save some weight and provide places to run straps through.

Somebodies done some drafting. What program is that? It kind of looks like CATIA but there's no way an individual would have that.

Hi Folks,

I use my bed extender and 4 bungee cords if needed. I have to be careful when placing the groceries to not interfere with my tailgate damper. :)

Best,
