What do you guys use in the bed for transporting groceries or other thing after shopping. Don't want things all over the bed while driving.
Cars/SUVs have trunks.

Thanks.

Spray in Berliner pretty much keeps everything except slick cardboard right where it gets placed

I have a bed extender that I just flip inside the bed when I'm not using it. It will keep your groceries to other things from going all over the bed. If you don't need one of those you could get a rubber bed mat and then use a few totes.

Here's a link to the bed extender with some pictures.

We use various sizes of the plastic bins that we got from Home Depot. On the drive out, you can put them one inside the other (like Russian dolls) and keep them either in the bed or the (super crew) cabin with the seats pulled back up (or deleted). Driving home, we arrange the necessary bins in the bed, fill them up, put their tops back on, and tie the whole mess down with the bed net that we got from Ford Accessories. We do this every time we have some serious grocery shopping ahead of us. Minor stuff we usually just toss in the back of the cabin. Works great for grocery shopping as well as road trips! Either way, you can carry a ton of stuff!

Soft bags with carrying handles, insulated and not. Works just as well in the back seat. For the larger cold-food runs, I have a hard cooler that lives in the garage.

Bed Extender folded inside the bed and a rubber bed mat! Works great for grocery and other trip here when I need to keep things at the back!

Part Number of what I got:

Bed Mat alone (And the bed mat itself grips pretty great actually and is much nicer on the knees):

With Bed Mat and Folded in Bed Extender:

slightly OT but do u have a bedliner? Reckon it would work fine with one as this seems perfect for my dog?

Thanks!
Yes I have a drop in bed liner and they're super slippery. The mat keeps everything from sliding all over the place. I think I remember some saying they picked up a cheap rubber mat at Harbor Freight. It's not going to fit all the edges perfect like OEM but it'll still work keeping most stuff from going everywhere.

This is exactly what I've been doing for years (before my Ranger) and it works out great. I fill those 5 gal jugs of drinking water and this holds them right in place at the back of the truck so they're not rolling all over the bed.

In addition to all the suggestions already posted, you could also consider a ratcheting cargo bar. It can be positioned as high or low as you need - and also as far from the tailgate as you need.

Great idea,I forgot about those. These are a good cheaper alternative but I'd still recommend a rubber mat too. They really help keep things in place and add a nice padding for your knees when you're in the bed arranging things.
