Had many people tell me a 12" sub wouldn't fit under the seat in the storage compartment. Got it in a few months ago and completed forgot to post the build update. I'll post some newer pictures of the wires cleaned up later on.

Are you bolting the box to the body, or just letting it sit in the hole? Curious for my build

It has enough weight to it and I just let it sit there

I really want to add a 12 like you did but I'm just concerned about the little amount of space for it. Have you had any problems with your setup and would you recommend getting a 12 ?

If you're able to make the custom box for a 12" go for it. I myself went with the 12 over a 10 for more bass. I've loved it since I got it in and there's no downsides I have to it. Yes the space is tight but it fits nicely.

Sounds good. Was just concerned about a difference in sound due to the lack of air space. Thanks

Can you post a picture of the seat latched with this set up? Im disappointed that mine won’t latch with 3/4” MDF and a Skar 10” VD series

This box you built is called a "infinite Baffle" which means its non vented. Which is the best design as any size box with any woofer will work at a level corrisponding to the box size. Any woofer size between 8 to 12 inches will work about the same as the box will limit the 12 to much less excursion than a 10 or a 8. This is a much better design than thinking you can invent a proper vent. High end speakers like kef and b&w almost never vent there small boxes, this leads to a less efficient box, generally with very linear character. Which as long as you have 40 to 100 watts of real power you will have a bigger bass. NOT as proper or linear as the original factory setup however.
