Ah ok got it, so basically proprietary for profit by keeping other copy cats out of the market.

More like mutually profitable. Ford doesn’t have to invest in all the cost of building their own turbos and BW gains volume keeping costs down. If Ford thought they could do it cheaper then I’m sure they would.
