Considering the small sample of owners represented by this forum and the frequency of this very specific issue I think we've identified another issue common to the 5G that needs to be addressed... and Ford should be fixing it at no cost to owners.

More than a few of us moved off the monoleafs for other reasons already.
It seems clear this is a manufacturing defect or maybe a design defect due to the mono leaf design.

We like to call those parabolic leaf springs. And general they are a good spring if designed correctly. That said it seems like auto manufacturers have lately dropped the ball on the design features and really sucked

I had a '95 Ford Contour that had the rear coil springs break. Who ever made the springs had a bad batch of steel an it was a common problem. I wonder if that's happening here.

Y'all are making me nervous with all these broken springs. Anyone have experience with the Icon leaf packs on the lowest setting. I'm not interested in a lift and need to tow a ~4000 trailer

Stay away from that garbage. If you want to change the leafs and don't want to lift, I would recommend the basic Deavers.

Seems like there have been posts on here of people having problems with Icon springs too.

I don't have personal experience with Icon, but if you are looking at a company that somehow offers 7 different "Stages" of suspension lifts then there is a problem. Also their "adjustable" leaf springs are simply a joke. I would trust the OEM Ford Leafs over ICON

I was just visited the Deaver web site, and I can't find leaf springs for the 5G Ranger. What am I missing besides the leaf springs?

That is a question for someone else. I can't remember who is selling the Deavers for the 5G

Deavers doesn't appear to make them! Maybe best to simply purchase the OEM springs from UK... but shipping is as much as the leafs!

They make them, I just can remember who the seller is. It's nothing new and it's been around for a while
