how many dampers do they have? gm could push for queen of dampers
That's King of dampers. ?

Even the Colorado has a damper standard. Plus they have that storage inside the tailgate which is nice.

GM as a whole always sells more trucks than Ford. But for individually bests GMC and Chevy. Depends what you add up. And the ranger as far as I know doesn't fall into the F series category. Should have called it an F100 again.

yeah, that's what makes ford's approach to the ranger so strange. this has been a definitional numbers game for a while--GM outsells the F150, but Ford sells more of the "F series". Which makes the lack of attention to the ranger weird because Ford decides what the "F series" is, and for some reason decided it's better to treat the ranger as the red headed stepchild instead of making part of the "F series". I also don't fully understand why GM doesn't counter with a "GM series", except that every manufacturer is happy taking their own first place trophy so everyone can be a special winner without having to actually do anything.

You have to take those claims with a grain of salt and research exactly what they are saying.
You could have the best-selling full-size truck with extended cab and 4x4 truck then boil it down to "Best-selling truck."
And don't get started with that JD Powers award BS.

Ford sold more than Chevrolet or GM individually but GM combined sold more.

F-Series653,957-9.9
F-150 Lightning
(Part of F-Series)
15,617N/A
Chevrolet Silverado
(Total)
523,249-1.2
Silverado HD188,75135.7
Silverado LD324,603-14.7
Silverado MD9,895-1

And GM for reference

GMC Sierra
(Total)
241,522-3
GMC Sierra HD99,11840.4
GMC Sierra LD142,404-20.2

A couple of years ago when Chevrolet released its redesign, Ram outsold them.

I have to admit that when the new Chevrolet came out I thought it was hideous, but it has grown on me a bit after seeing it for a while..

The HD are still atrocious though.

I just saw a Silverado commercial stating it was the number 1 selling full size truck? ford that bad right now?
The ad says that they are the best selling RETAIL truck. Ford sells more F150’s when you combine RETAIL and COMMERCIAL sales.

Everyone can claim #1. It's all in the fine print.
#1 selling with males?
#1 selling with females?
#1 selling with males aged 21-28?
#1 selling with females aged 30-35?
#1 selling in Maine
#1 selling with males 21-28 in Maine?
It's all marketing spin, and means nothing.

If it was one of those Chevy commercials with a guy in a lab coat and a clipboard then you can believe it, otherwise I'd be skeptical.
I heard the TFL guys were green with envy after getting less views than zebra corner testing.
