SICK OF ACRONYMS

Duke - who gonna win Thursday night ? When I lived in Denver I'd occasionally go to Avalanche games - never seen a guy skate like Nathan Mackinnon, I don't follow hockey much anymore but plan on watching Thursday. Growing up in Western NY played club hockey, hockey is so much more fun to play than spectate. Played some on the same rink that a young Patrick Kane played on , but 55 yrs ago it was still an outdoor rink.

Speaking of Nathan MacKinnon - are you watching this crazy opening period?

Saw just a few minutes of the 1st, was at my hoa meeting(I'm the treasurer) and then caught the last half of the 3rd period and then the OT, Conner McDavid got that shot off so quick, goalie had no chance. McDavid and Mackinnon are incredible talents.

Saw just a few minutes of the 1st, was at my hoa meeting(I'm the treasurer) and then caught the last half of the 3rd period and then the OT, Conner McDavid got that shot off so quick, goalie had no chance. McDavid and Mackinnon are incredible talents.

The whole game was just so fast! Great speed and skills on every line for both teams. And most of the players are 6’3” 225 lb monsters with quick hands. I was texting with a friend in AZ (former pro player) and he was in awe of the talent that was assembled.

Yeah in the 70 and 80s lots of smaller faster guys - maurice richard and so on could easily skate around the big slower defensemen, but now most everyone is big and fast, that's why it's a treat to see guys like Mcdavid and Mackinnon on the ice. Goes back decades but I still enjoy the film clip of Bobby Orr taking the puck from behind his team's goal, skating the entire length of the ice and scoring, breakaways are too seldom in today's game.

It'll be a great "Homecoming" Saturday as my guys, the MN Wild, had three representatives on the USA team: Brock Faber, Matt Boldy and Wild head coach John Hynes as an assistant coach. 4Nation best of the best is a great format and I look forward to next year!

It was a a great game - best NHL (National Hockey League) players in a battle that was decided in OT (Overtime). See, back on track with the acronyms thing.
