Well after 6 months delay due to COVID and shipping issues, the guys at Juniper Overland in Denver got me hooked up. I can’t say enough good things about them and Rin over at OK4WD. They made things right and really stepped up.

the AluCab Canopy Camper is the best camper I have ever seen or used. The quality and attention to detail isbeyond expectation. I’m waiting on my Trail Kitchen system to arrive before I post interior pics.
Taking it out to home a couple 14ers this weekend so I’ll post some action shots.
It’s pricey but if you’re serious and will use it, you can’t go wrong.

Love it, that is the exact setup we want.

Just so people browsing the forums know. At this time the setup is roughly 15,000 and 3,000 for the national Luna battery box and Trail Kitchen setup.
the pros are it’s way way lighter than any slide in on the market, it’s built out better than other pop up style caps, and you can design what and where you want things. The ranger bed is small.

And the cost is why I have not one it yet. It will be done probably in a few years when we can travel more.

I also want to point out for anyone considering putting a RTT on a bed rack that sits any lower than the cab. You will not be able to use the rods to prop the window up by the cab. This will be the case with almost RTT. I ended up connecting some cord from the window grommets to my ditch light brackets. I just tied a taut-line hitch so I can tighten it or loosen it and it just folds in with the tent. Just something to consider. I’ll likely end up splicing whoopie slings out of hollow braid rope so it’s easier to adjust in cold weather.

I went with the iKamper Mini to go with my Overhaul H-D rack. I liked the idea of being able to adjust the rack height. Haven’t had a chance to test it all out, but I’m happy with the config. Might prefer tent sat about 6” lower, but I think it will all work well.

I am trying to wade through the abundance of RTT's that are now on the market and trying to figure out what is best for me.

I am wondering how many here have Roof Top Tents on their Rangers?????

I eventually want to find a bed cover, rack, and rtt that will all work with each other but for now post up your Tents if you have one on your Ranger!

I am currently REALLY liking the iKamper's, but wow.... they are pricey! The iKamper mini would fit nicely on my 5' bed as well and be more aerodynamic sitting lower and being a hardshell.

Anyone have one of the other models iKampers that are already available?????

Thanks in advance.
I just bought an IKamper mini for my 2020 Ranger (4 door). Ordered RCI universal rack but cancelled because they said 6-8 weeks lead time: it's a universal rack for Pete's sake and they carry no inventory. Ordered Zroadz access overland (ships on 30th, so another week or so before I get it). Also bought a 1967 M416 trailer that I'm renovating. Idea is to be able to move RTT between truck and trailer so I don't always have to take trailer. Was gonna get zero23, but also 6-8 week lead time (found IKamper mini with a 1 week lead time--got lucky). Was concerned about closing up softshell RTT in rain and cold. Yes IKamper is expensive, but an RTT is not something I want to buy twice.

Will post pix as soon as it's setup
