Interesting. So -- what's the difference with the new headrest? any photos?
These replacement head rests can be adjusted up & down and also removed by a button located on the plastic base that is attached to the top of the seat. They can be tilted by a button located on the head rest itself :)

Had my recall done several weeks ago, new head rests were ordered and came in a week later.
Have em stored as I did a rear seat delete, but here's pic's of what they look like...

So I'm not sure i understand the recall -- it's super vague. Does anyone with a fixed headrest get this, or does something else need to be broken for the dealer to give them?

It involves the SuperCab's from 2021...apparently the 2019 and 2020 came with folding rear headrests, but were done away with in 2021. The non-folding apparently hampers the positioning of a child seat and its proper attachment.
So, any with the non folding headrests will get them under the recall.

I just took my SCAB in for the recall notices. I also had some drip rail trim piece problems and lower window trim molding fading. They returned the truck to me with the new folding headrests and ordered the other parts under warranty. The passenger side seatbelt recall passed inspection.

Update on Recall 21C24...

November of 2021 had (21C24 - 21V765) done. Service department inspected rear anchorages for child restraint safety and said everything fine and according to specs. Rear seat head rest replacements not needed. Done deal.

Received another recall notice (21C24 - 21V756) dated March, 2020. What's up? Called Service department and was told that these anchorages needed to be inspected again and if needed, rear seat head rests would be ordered. Puzzling?

Took the truck in today for this round. Work completed and asked about the verdict. The rep. said that the head rests had been on back order and arrived so they were replaced today. Of the four people that I talked to about this service, each had a different version of the process? Guess that's life in the service lane... :crazy:

2 perks made the day a little easier... :)
* gave me a loaner!
* the job was completed much quicker than expected!

Wow your dealer actually has a loaner for customers. That's a good dealer cuz mine doesn't even have necessary tools for repair mich less a loaner. I will continue to avoid them like the plague

Chris,
Am fortunate to have found this dealership. They didn't put any pressure on me when I bought the Ranger from them. They have a customer-oriented philosophy, and you can experience it in every employee regardless of the department they work in. Hope you can find a find a good dealer who can provide great service! Here are their rightfully given awards:
