How is the BDX as a monitor? Boost, spark, etc?

Only 500 miles on mine. No tuning until she's out of warranty.

People still liking them?

Love mine as a monitor. Waiting on power upgrades for when it's really needed.
Use to work in diesel performance and they're honestly kind of boring as a company. Boringly good product, pretty much what I measure everything else against.

For the price you cant really beat it.

Their magnetic mount for the bdx is kind of a pain. When it gets hot the adhesive on the back of the metal plate you attach seems to loosen up, but other than that no complaints.

I've been running their 91 octane tune with 93 gas for about 1000 miles (a few weeks) now and I love it. I know it's not that fast but it's silly how quick it feels. Cheap easy performance and so far completely trouble free and believe me, I've beat the hell out of it lol.

Sorry if this is already answered. Will the tunes impact the Ranger warranty from Ford? If it will, does anyone have a line of what specifically will be impacted from a warranty perspective?

It can if Ford deems the tune could have caused or at least impacted the warranty claim. As a general rule they will decline warranty work if you have a tune they can remotely link back to as a possible cause.
The safe route is if you are worried about engine or transmission warranty don’t tune.

Good thing I’ve tuned other vehicles or I might be worried. Lol.
Shows a few errors during tune.

All good now. Man, the tune really wakes up the little turbo. Noticeable difference for the better with the 93 octane tune.
The only thing I’m not happy about is not adjusting for tire size. I thought I read you can with the BDX. Guess I need to do some more research on that.

Yesterday coming home from work my truck started hesitating and lost power. It popped up warnings for the pre collision system not functioning and sent this to my phone. As soon as I limped it home I reset everything to the factory tune and it's been fine since. I was running the SCT 91 octane tune (using 93 octane gas) for 1000 miles with no issues and then my truck went nuts. I still have no idea what happened but it definitely freaked me out. I'm going to take a 150 mile trip tomorrow to make sure it's ok. I'm starting to think I'll need a custom tune or I'll just have to leave it alone. I miss the extra power already.
