I ordered my Ford Ranger Lariat 4x4 supercrew 501a package on Nov 14th. Not sure what happened to my salesperson but he was gone a few days after I ordered. I had a difficult time just trying to find out if my truck was ordered. I keep getting confusing messages from the dealer, that it will be here soon, it might be in at the end of December. Well It's January 29th and I still don't have a build date, delivery date, or VIN number. I'm thinking of just giving up. I also wasn't aware of the 750 pre-order rebate? Is that for all pre-orders or certain locations or models?

Thank You,
Peggy

Welcome Peggy!

The $750 was for pre-orders only, not dealer ordered trucks. It has also ended as of December 2018.

Do you know if your Ranger is a retail or dealer stock order? It should say on your order form.

Hello,

I only pre-ordered through the dealer because they said I should. I gave them the details of what I wanted and they ordered it. I guess I'm out 750 oh well. I also didn't get an order form. I haven't gotten anything but a few emails and I put $2500 down. I'm not overly happy.

Thank you for the reply,
Peggy

Well you should contact them today, and ask:
  1. Is my order a retail or dealer stock order?
  2. Where is my order paperwork?
  3. What's my VIN?
  4. What's my build date?
  5. What's my estimated delivery date?
  6. Am I eligible for the $750 pre-order discount?
If they can't answer these straight forward questions, they are lying or omitting something.

Thank you, I will. I currently have a ford fusion, half my family has fords and we always used this dealer. Something has changed recently and I'm not sure it's for the better. Hopefully whatever is happening there they sort it out.

Thank You,
Peggy

Hang in there Peggy, my dealer started out that way also. What Rangerdanger said shoot questions at them. I didn't at first and didn't get any e-mails or phone calls(they don't volunteer info) once I started putting them on the spot, then the info came.

Good Luck

Thought the blend date information might be helpful since my Ranger along with others have been pushed out for delivery. See attachment:

Wow, I don't know what is happening with my build. Was in production 1/15 with a 1/27 estimated delivery and a blend date of 1/23. The tracking site now indicates build 1/25 and estimated delivery is now N/A. Any thoughts?

Could possibly be weather related?

I do know that the website was acting wonky today.

Well with these temps going -20f and lower that is probably very true.

Being this cold will delay trains more than snow, getting the air break pressure up on these mile long trains can take 45 mins or so.

That is a fact, I work for Norfolk southern and with this cold we pretty much hold trains till the weather breaks at my location
