Day 3 arrived Bradenton, FL. Now 1270 miles and the 89 octane offered up 21mpg (may have been the fuel). Need's a wash.
Finally connected to Android Auto and Waze.
Love it!
Customer Relations will just call your dealer and let them know they have an upset customer. Best direction is Dealer and Dealer Rep..
For clarification I am 60 miles from the plant.
Day 2 on the trip added 475 miles, now at 995. Reset fuel mpg when I left Knoxville average mpg is 23.5 using 87 octane. Will reset again on day 3 and use 89 octane to see if there is an improvement in mpg.
Since I am an old fart and new to things like Android Auto and Waze, I have been...
From Michigan to Knoxville TN in the first day, 520 miles. A great ride down 75. Fuel economy shows 20 mpg but that includes an hour of idle time at the dealer. We may reset the monitor for mpg and see what the next 500 miles bring.
While I am not used to the "adaptive cruise" and thought...
For mine I got the window sticker and it went into the production build 1/15/19 with a blend date of 1/23/19. Was released on 1/31/19. Based on that about 16 days with no holds for component shortages.
So to end this story, the dealer and the dealer rep. took charge, dug in and got my Ranger out of "Ramp Jail" (blocked by other Rangers on the Ramp and pushed to later delivery dates). I took delivery this afternoon. This is why I bought from this dealer, Seymour Ford. See Below:
So here is an update that I think all will be interested in:
I have so far contacted, the dealer, Ford Customer Service, and a link into the Plant.
The plant says we are done when built, Customer Service just points to the dealership and the last update I have is that the vehicle is trapped by...
Will not be via rail. I live about 60 miles from Michigan Assembly. All they need to do is load on a trailer and deliver, that's why it says 01 day for transit. Like I said I will be at the dealer tomorrow am. and plan on making a call to Ford Corporate. This should not be this painful...
So far today 2/10/2019 no Ranger, still awaiting shipment now for over 12 days! I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow am. I have one more day and will not be able to accept my truck due to a month of planned travel.
Many years ago you could negotiate pickup at the plants, but no more. I think the only plant in the US that allows pickup is the Corvette plant in KY.
My dealer made this request. The answer was a resounding, not going to happen.
My Ranger is ROVP with a blend date of 1/23/19 due in 2/10/19. Still awaiting shipment but only 60 miles away from the plant. We will see if this happens, been delayed twice already (127 and 2/3). Will let you know tomorrow.
When did they post your window sticker? Mine was posted 1/15/19. I see your blend date was 1/24/19 while mine was 1/23/19. If I were you I would ask my dealer what they see on line. The dealer can also contact the factory rep. to see what is going on.
My dealer contacted the factory rep. to...
I think the snow and cold weather here in Michigan really put a health delay in builds and shipments. Original delivery date 1/27, moved to 2/3 and now 2/10. My Ranger been awaiting shipment since last Thursday.
Finally, posted as "awaiting shipment" on the tracking site. Only an hour away once on a trailer.
Delivery still states "N/A". Dealer says any day now.
