So,,, when I haul out the guns, I have about 15 different optics choices available to me (scopes, holographics, magnifiers, thermals, iron sights, night vision, etc.) I routinely change my optic setup depending on my mood.

I'm the same way with my cars & trucks. I may love something 1 day and hate it the next. It's not uncommon for me to have several boxes of the same part (from different companies) piled up on my kitchen table. I'll buy 3 or 4 of the same thing until I choose which is best. Then, return the leftovers.

Which leads to both my truck and this thread... I started this thread to document the things I'm doing to the truck. But there have been a lot of changes since I started the thread a few months ago. Therefore, in the spirit of tossing old shit out... I feel like it's time to launch a new thread titled, "Roush Ranger Build v2.0" with pics of how it sits right now (with none of the discarded parts cluttering things up). I will do the v2.0 threat as soon as my installer finishes wiring up my last 4 sets of LEDs. That's right,,, I'm only shining with 6 LEDs. There's 8 more that haven't been wired in yet. And, I know how to post videos now so,,, time to go off road.

I can see there being a v3.0 coming after I change the next major thing. That may be the 3 high powered train horns I'm planning to install. And then a v4.0 after the next project. And so on..... with each new thread showing "as it sits" pics and none of the tossed-out parts. They become irrelevant once they get replaced by a better part.

Nice version 2.0 coming soon and already hinting at a V3 ?. Looking forward to it..
Been enjoying the process you go through to make your decisions… wish I could do the same but I don’t have the space (aka: my wife would kill me if I had a bunch of stuff for the truck all over the place ?.)

I waited all day for this to show up and they drop it off as I'm leaving for dinner. It's not mounted but I couldn't wait to throw it on for a rough idea. I'm gonna spend the afternoon rigging up brackets tomorrow.

I would have finished mocking it up but Tommasino's was screaming my name.

The brackets that came with the light bar are pretty much the same height as my magnetic option. I win no matter what. Tonight will be spent grinding, shaping, drilling, painting, and mounting the brackets until I get it right,,, or I snap the bar over my knee.

I'm hoping to use 4x300# magnets for the roof bar and 4x150# magnets for the FU bar in the back. It will require trim removal tools to take them off.

Âľ finished...

The brackets didnt allow the magnets to sit even with the contour of the roof. Vice + Hammer = Nailed It ! It still needs a little adjusting but I'm pleased so far. I'll paint them up tomorrow. Then, I'll have to get them wired up and aimed. After that,,, I'll tackle the mount for my FU bar...
