I think you're in the sweet and safe spot. 390 tq is probably the safe limit, or close to it. Having a 5 second 0-60 truck is plenty fast. No one would guess you were coming!
It will surprise people. I've had a few passengers request a sampling. They have to agree to my terms 1st. Funny thing is,,, the peanut butter 10r80 transmission is rated to handle @ 500 ft/lbs of torque. But,,, I'm content where I'm at.

I have been curious about taking it to the strip. But I have a habit of breaking shit at the track. Im content with a small truck that feels like it has more power than most bigger trucks.

Time to experiment...

The 150# magnets came with rubber covers to protect the paint. The only problem is,,, the covers cut the strength of the magnets in half.

I sprayed 2 coats of Plasti-Dip on one of them so I I can compare them side-by-side. I don't want to spray my 300# magnets if the Plasti-Dip is going to make them weaker.

Next on today's list...

Get the homemade brackets off my roof. Cut off the excess. Take the Dremel to all the rough edges. Spray Plasti-Dip on the magnets. Lock-Tight all the hardware. Tryn replace a few nuts with Acorn nuts. Spray paint them to match my Engine Cover and Expansion Tank. Put the puzzle all back together and slap it back on the roof.

I may wait till later to do this.
Like, after midnight.

Results...

2 coats of Plasti-Dip spray and it felt just as strong as the bare magnet. I may hit it with a 3rd coat.

The rubber covers that came with the magnets are useless except for 1 thing,,, keeping debris from collecting on the face of the magnet. But they definitely need to be removed before using them or they may fall off after hitting a pothole.

Minor F-up along the way.

I drove around for 2 days with the new bar on my roof to see if the magnetic mounts I made would hold up. They did...

However,,, they started to rust and goober'd up my roof paint a little. I even have a small scratch on the passenger side.

Some ScratchDoctor took the rust stains off my roof. And I have a touch-up pen from Ford so I can cover that scratch.

I'll spray a decent dose (6 coats) of Plasti-Dip on the magnets and see how that does. The magnets are so strong, they left an imprint in the clearcoat. More money to spend ?‍♂

Did you get those lights on?
I'm in limbo waiting for my installer to give me an appointment.

?‍♂

Everything is ready to go. I have the brackets fabbed up and painted. The magnet faces are rubber coated. And all the light fixtures are piled up on my kitchen table...

2 replacement Fog Lights,
2 RC Bumper Lights,
1 Roof Light Bar,
1 Rear FU Light Bar, and
2 Reverse Hitch Lights.

To go with my...

4 LED Cube Lights, and
2 Bumper Light Bars

?

Looking forward to seeing it!

Moving has slowed me down on modding. Some shop in Omaha will have a good week when I pull the trigger on all of my upgrades once I have time to buy them.! Wheels, Tires, shocks, struts, multi leafs, downpipe, intercooler ,piping, tune, raptor grill to start
