Welp.... Got my first major ouchie. Some yahoo backed into me in a parking lot. Just my luck and no cameras. Pushed the paper thin bumper into the bed and bowed the living daylight out of it. My paintless repair dude is confident he can fix this. I can see what looks like Someone had a ball hitch that got into the bumper/sensor. Well at least the plasti dip held up.

Time to replace the rear bumper and I'm thinking about going with the Rough Country. Anyone running this rear bumper yet? If so please attach photos.

That sucks.

Recently got a boo boo on the front and have been considering their front bumper vs repairing.

I really like the Magnetic trim though, so I'd have to paint the RC. I don't think my results would match yours if I tried the dip option.

The green is holding up well though!

Don't have the rough country bumper myself, but I've heard from some local guys who have it and they are not fans of it, especially when they claim you can use your factory hitch with it but you have to butcher the thing to make it fit

Yeah I'm looking at their front as well to possibly match the rear if I decide on the RC. Once I peel the dip coat it will be back to the lighting blue so the black bumpers shouldn't be too bad.

For now I'm just going a different route so as not to create an insurance claim. You all know how they just love to jack the rates up after that.

That sucks to hear that. I didn't get the factory hitch on mine. I went with the after-market hitch, so I should be fine on that front.

With your flares the black and blue combo will look great! Assuming that you do the front as well or paint your factory bumper black if it's not already.

One thing that is turning me off on the front bumper is the way it integrates into the factory FX-4 skidplate. There's a large gap there that seems off to me. Although with a black skidplate that wouldn't be as noticeable.

Depending on what your PDR guy wants, and your deductible, it's probably wise not to claim it.

I filed a claim as I incorrectly assumed that the scumbag who hit my truck was a normal human being and had insurance. That's what I get for assuming.

Hopefully it's just the bumper. But they're three piece bumpers. You can just get the left side. Hopefully there's no hidden damage, like I found when I removed mine
