An example of what these retailers are doing is this: I just received a swing tool box for the bed (brand is Ford) for $229.00. An 'Undercover" brand is priced on Real truck for $199 and that exact same one, is priced on Tonneau Cover World for $398. This is self explanatory regarding what select businesses are doing as far as taking advantage of the current Covid era. Gotta do your research.

This has always been the case. AFAIK it's not illegal to make money as long as you avoid the gouging Covid rules. A swing box isn't milk for the kids. Therefore the market sets the price. People aren't complaining in the Carvana thread where they're getting thousands more than usual for their trucks. But if some obscure reseller on Ebay charges $40 more for Ford specific cleats it's a criminal offense. You can't have it both ways.

I'm still "trying" to buy them with my Ford pass points but dealers around here are telling me they're not on the Ford pass program yet. 40k points are gonna expire before I can use them...

This is more than likely a typo, maybe $9.49? I have seen this before with other sellers. One would hope they are not stupid to ask that much for a set of tie downs.

It's not a typo... in Feb 2021 they were $90 MSRP at Levitown Ford...

Does anyone know of any aftermarket options for Bed Tow Hooks (set of 2)? I wish I could find the prices HenryMac lists. Best I can do is $73.58 at Levittown Ford Parts. Suggestions welcome!

I did try that late last year. None had come in yet, though. (Fall 2020)

Your dealers saying those parts are not part of the Fordpass program are full of crap. They should take the points as payment for any parts or service.

I had mine given to me by the dealer when I noticed them missing. They were kind of hesitant at first but decided to give them to me after a brief conversation and before I got my Line-X installed which was part of the deal. If you don't have them and recently bought your truck it wouldn't hurt to ask for them to throw them in. Worst case they say no.
