Hey everyone.
placed my order 2 long weeks ago for my tremor. So while I wait I plan to spend some money.
I want to utilize the upfitter switches to the best of my ability.
So far I want to do:
1) ditch lights. I keep bouncing back and forth between the zroadz and diode dynamic ss3 sports. These would both be able to be attached to a single 5a switch (would they need a harness to both go to a single switch??)
2) light bar. I’ve seen the M&R with the white and amber bar that can connect to two of the higher amp switches. Without blocked the adaptive cruise and replacing the front bumper I’m not really sure what other options there are?

what else is everyone using the switches for? Or a better question for my novice self, what is each switch capable of handling?

Baja Designs or Diode Dynamics are the only brands I'd go with.

Check out Stage 3 's lighting section. There are a lot of options for our trucks.

Make sure that 5amps is enough. Most of the ditch lights I saw were running around 4.5 amp draws which is a little close to the top for comfort imo

I personally love Baja Designs. I have their Squadron Sport on my Honda Pilot for fog lights and ditch lights.

For the Ranger, I might go with the Squadron Pro for ditch lights this time around but since the Ranger Fog light is much higher, I might do the Squadron SAE for fogs to not blind people.

I run their amber which is a nice Yellow more than amber.

If I HAD to run another brand, it would likely be Diode Dynamics as well. I just personally do not like their amber color and while this may be a pro for some, I do not care for the connector being on the light. I like how Baja Design lights have a pig tail.

I assume this is true for Diode Dynamics but you can mount 4 lights in the lower grill opening on the Ranger as well as fogs too for some good amount of light. There is someone making a bracket in the light sub forum here so you can run two sets of lights in the factory fog light area too.

Stage3 may be cheaper I think?

Two baja designs squadron pro combo driving/spot lamps installed easily in my front bumper opening using existing holes that required some reaming. On the lariat this is a simple and very effective upgrade. The lights are nearly un noticeable looking at the truck - and tucked in so they are not exposed to being bumped. No glamour just function. The light output made it much easier to see on dark roads and off road. The amount of extra light and color is a HUGE upgrade over the oem led fogs low beams and high beams.
