I thought I should start a thread about what kinda mileage eveyoeve is getting.

Include the type of driving you do city/highway %, driving style, gas used, if your using the auto start/stop feature and aprox engine mileage.


So I'm on my third tank of gas and tgt mileage has been improving.

2021 4 cylinder extended cab (not the 4 door) 14-16mph has been pretty consistent, I got 22mpg once on an expressway set the cruise road trip years ago. Pretty dismal actually. I don’t drive agressively. I have drove aggressively and had it in Sport mode for a few tanks over the years to see if it would make a difference, not really. I keep up on maintainince. Everything checks out good. I don’t understand how I am getting such crap mpg when the quoted mpg from Ford is significantly higher than what I am getting. Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks.

Eric, are you 4x4 or 4x2? I have a FX2 (4x2) get consistant 25 mpg but have added a MBRP cat back exhaust, K&N filter with stock air box and Amsoil lubricants to engine, trans, and rear end. I have OEM 265X65R17 Hankook tires at 35 PSI. Burn 87 gas with 10% eth. I do use non-eth on occasion and get 3 more mpg. My 2006 F150 5.4L got 18 mpg. You should be getting better mpg!!!!!

My Ranger is a 4X4 Sport, My fluids are all synthetic. I see 24-25 mpg city highway, and up to 28 when traveling. It did dip rather dramatically to 22 mpg when I had transmission and DPFE Sensor issues. Has bounced back since resolving them.

I don't drive it crazy, just keep up with the traffic and rarely throttle it hard. I generally stay below 3K RPMs, and usually see it shift in the 2K-2.5K RPM range.

Filled up last night and averaged 23.3, it was the first time filling up since August 15th! We were away from 8/28 through the end of September and had rented a Hybrid Camry for that trip to see how we'd like it. I guess I really hadn't driven much since we got back either. lol

I am currently testing a new tune file with 50% E85 and super unleaded mix and have dropped 2mpg, now at 20mpg average
