hey looking to buy some front coilovers, looking for 2.5 w/resi and need the extended travel version not the regular. if you have a set that youre willing to sell, reply to thread or shoot me a PM w/ a price and we can talk about it.
i went with the grimm offroad UCA because they were on sale at the time and i believe they are steel and theyve been great for me. im not sure about SPC but icon is cool, grimm as i mentioned i like, camburg if you got the coin is best IMO,
the deaver springs would feel a lot better than the stock tremor leafs. its not really a good comparison between the two, the tremor has 3? and the deavers have like 9 or 10 for that better plush feel haha. i switched from stock to icon recently and it was night and day i considered the deavers...
i have the pro truck 2r kit and have the 2.0 in the front and the rear 2.0 w/resi and by themselves the front rode amazing, id recommend anybody to get the eibach 2.0 coiloves for better on road driving and solid offroad performance but the rear resi shocks were a bit stiff on low speeds up...
i bought mine at 43k miles, I have done oil changes every 5k miles with Valvoline, just recently did a flush and fill with lubegard platinum and the truck has been running great no complaints so far... i plan to do a filter, oil change on trans at 90k miles im currently at 76.5k. my bank offered...
did a transmission flush and fill w/ lubegard got about 4.5-5 quarts out and put the same amount back in with about half the bottle of lubegard, i did feel an immediate difference... transmission is shifting amazing... the only rough part through the process was, this was my first time doing it...
yeah i bit the bullet and just ordered it, other places were roughly the same price and some places like rockauto just says out of stock so oh well lol
the eibachs do good with some weight on there, like i mentioned before the rears on the eibachs are a little stiff so they hold weight pretty good. during higher speed off road is where they shine being more plush but if youre going to put some weight in the back i think theyd be great for you...
i have the 2r kit and id say it all depends on how much you raise the front end, if youre keeping it at the height it comes at or maybe a little higher then the ride is great on and offroad. i took mine off road the other day and they performed really well a lot better than i thought they would...
you definitely don't need them as Eibach has confirmed this a few times, but UCA's are definitely worth getting if you're wanting to off road at all but if she's just a road princess then id skip it.
I actually never thought about doing that... interesting.. but ya I actually lowered my truck back down because I lost a lot of that "cushy" feel over day to day bumps and I couldn't stand it.
ill have to check mine out to see if its about 143mm i ended up raising it to about level maybe 1/4" higher in the front but i felt like the ride was quite a bit more stiff than it was so im probably gonna bring it back quite a bit. i was at what my first picture of the post was and i brought it...
its VERY straight forward to change out the coilovers mostly with the RWD, i did them pretty quick just follow a normal YT video for 4wd or Rwd its pretty much the same we just dont have cv axle. i will warn you... at least my opinion on it was that the rear shocks for the pro kit that i got...
Right, I agree but thats definitely not the case because at a 3.5" lift id be at the very least leveled with the rear but im not, the rear is .5" higher than the front. I emailed eibach just to clarify but ill just mess with it in the shop when I get off work tomorrow.
