Are you finding the stock pads lacking in performance? You hanging out with @Loweredon33s around the track?

Performance is only a thing if you use it otherwise it's just extra money.
I just don’t stop ?

Yes, right...at just over 120,000 miles...pad thickness still roughly 7-8mm all around...I'm looking for opinions on Ceramic only pads for their improved longevity, dustless and noise....

Anyone have the part number for OEM pads currently on the Ranger?
How the hell did you get that much millage out of the OEM? I had to replace my rears at 23k...
I do drive in alot of sand and dirt though...

I just went with the OEM ones on Rock Auto, which ones did you end up getting? (if you havnt answered this yet)

I've notice a couple of members here who are over 100K and still on original set of pads...
I'm ordering a set of Bendix next month from Rockauto...

Is this true?
The OE BFR1874 pads use a "GG" friction rated compound, which is about the highest friction rating you'll see on a "street" oriented brake pad and typical of a higher end ceramic or metallic compound. Just for context this is the same rating as the Powerstop Z23 "Carbon-fiber ceramic" pads. It's also higher than every semi-metallic pad offered on rock auto. The only pad I could verify with higher friction ratings than the OE were the Raybestos Element3's which have the same cold rating a higher hot rating, and funny enough are on the cheaper side of all the offerings.

Don't buy into the hype. Aftermarket doesn't always equal upgrade.

Hey thanks for the OE info and part number Al...you've convinced me to stick with OEM part...looks like the full set isn't as expensive as I thought?

Is this the one?

The MOTORCRAFT BRF1874 front brake pads listed at RockAuto is the same number that Levittown Ford lists for the 2019 Ranger as an alternate name for Ford KB3Z-2001-A.
OE BFR1874 front set...what is the part number for rear?

i'm piling onto an older thread here with a question:

the powerstop z23 pads and ford OEM pads are very similarly priced. within like $50 of each other or so. is one particularly better than the other? from what i'm reading here and can see, OEM is quality stuff. i'm not sure if powerstop is good enough to merit the extra few dollars.

I'm interested in any feedback as well.

Since many are getting many miles on the Ford pads, I would stick with them. Why take a chance on an unknown?
