Redarch tow pro help!

Towing my trailer I have no brakes at speeds above 50 down to 20mph. Than the trailer brakes lock up. Anyone have and ideas I've adjusted the controller ever way possible. Going to try manual mode now. And help would be greatly appreciated

A few questions first. Do you have the Ford Redarc controller or just the Redarc only? What type of trailer? Are you using the 7 pin connecter? Does the controller light up when the trailer is plugged in, what color? Does it light up red when you step on the brake?

I've seen similar happen with another controller (Tekonsha... something like that) and it was a semi-severed ground wire on the trailer itself.

Mine is fine, do you have the trailer adjustments in the dash? Putting the length of trailer in etc? Not sure if that would have any effect. Any chance your trailer wiring has a loose connection beyond the hitch?

Yes it's the ford version, 7x16 lanmar 7k dual axle. It lights up like it's working

I don't suspect a wiring issue, when I manually engage the brake (hold in the button) It works fine. I'm 350miles from home hopefully its someone easy

I quess I'd go with the other suggestion, a bad/intermittent ground in the brake circuit.

How would I diagnose this. I'm 350 miles from home. Any simple way?

I put it in manual mod and now 1 side locks up

You definitely have something going on with the trailer. Nothing separates the sides on the truck. Sucks to develope wiring issues so far from home.

Update, the controller came lose from the mount and caused. Thanks guys
