make sure you get your bronco stitching before they cost reduce it...
I hope they do and make it all black. It would help with the exterior color choice not clashing the the orange interior accents.

Price isn't to bad either. The GT is $200 and the HD is $256. The GT's might be a good compromise, not to cheap but still not crazy expensive while giving you good performance and durability.
Looking on Amazon, I can't see whether that price is either for a pair or per board.

If per board, I'll pass.

I would think most any of them could get you out a slick spot but the place where the higher quality boards would come into play is bridging across a gap.

If I'm doing a lot of gap bridging I'll gladly pay the extra for one that won't drop me as I reach the middle of the gap.

Edit: This listing for the Pros shows 2 boards so hopefully all the pricing is for a pair.

Yes they're all sold in pairs. You're right using them as a bridge would put a lot more stress on them and it would be better to have higher quality ones. So far I've never had a use for them but there's always the one time where you need them and don't have them. The ones Sid posted look like a good board and not to expensive.

I was hoping someone who's used them would chime in as to which ones would be good to buy. Seems like every review non Amazon are from people who bought them and haven't used them yet and are just commenting on the look and feel of them.

I feel the same way about the red inserts on the tremor package. Taste is an arbitrary thing.

There's a video of the "design team" of the Bronco interior which were 2 woman. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I've worked with decorators my whole career and they tend to get a little crazy with colors. The Badlands model is the most popular one and the put orange accents inside. Who thought this would look good with a Cactus Gray exterior color or Race Red?

I feel your pain in trying to figure out which to buy. I ended up buying these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NV6VG2M

I haven't used them yet, but since I only got them "in case" (I don't do heavy duty offroading), I'm hoping that the worst would be that they get me out of whatever jam I need to get out of, even if I break them in the process. I liked these because it sounded like they weren't as brittle as some of the other cheap ones. I had a hard time shelling out for the max tracks when I hope I never need to use them. Between these, my new winch and snatch blocks I hope to never get myself stuck in any significant way again.

Let us know what you end up getting.

My problem is I tend to overthink things to much and I think this is one of them, I need to just Keep It Simple. Those boards you got look good too and have good reviews and having the winch certainly is a good backup. Right now I'm seriously considering either the ones Sid has or the ARB which have several different grades. The ARB are relatively new and I'd like to see more reviews first. Maybe Sid will get himself stuck this weekend when he's away and get a chance to use his. ?

I get it - I struggled a LOT with which ones to buy (sometimes too many choices aren't good), but at the end of the day, I kind of feel like if your situation is like mine (which it sounds like it is), any of them will probably get out out of a jam - they might disintegrate in the process, but as long as they get you home that is all that matters.

What I've found many times is that products are IDENTICAL - meaning built in the same Chinese factory - it is just different companies branding/selling it. I think that is probably the case for a lot of these traction boards - it certainly looks like it.

A lot of the comments were saying they could replace theirs if they broke 4-5 x's over for what they want for the Maxtrax. This is something to keep in mind because as you said I'm sure the cheaper ones will get you out of a jam and how many times are you really going to be doing something that hard core? I do a fair amount of "moderate" off roading but nothing to crazy anymore. Now I tend to look at it like "yeah I'm not doing that one, maybe 10 years ago but not now". lol

Those look like they could also be a good backboard in an emergency
You're right Mike they could. Just don't use the side with the teeth. ?

True, if it's the ex I would use both boards and make a sandwich with the teeth facing up.
