I 've only had my 21 Tremor for 4 weeks now and love it! But, I have a rear brake caliper issue.
I was inspecting the brakes because of a soft pedal, and while the fronts appear to have been changed recently (before I bought it), the rears were worn pretty good.
I took off the rear on the drivers side and see the piston needs to be screwed back in. Well, here's my problem. I accidently turned the piston the wrong way, no, I can't get it to screw back in.
Did I overextend it? Am I screwed?

Outside my scope, so I'm here for emotional support and personal edification.

FYI.. Soft pedal is just how it is. There are posts about and some have a fix. I've just gotten used to it... Stops just fine.

Also.. I checked my brakes a few days ago. At 96k, on stock pads still, the fronts were much thicker then the rears. Which I thought was pretty odd as it's usually the other way around. So your fronts might still be the stock pads.

I drive the same truck, ‘21 Tremor and I did the same thing you did, turned the piston the wrong way.
The piston will go back in, it’s just very difficult/stiffcompared to any other pistons I’ve had to retract on other cars.

I bought one of those cubes you can buy to help retract the piston, but it still took a large c-clamp and two sets of hands to get the piston to retract.
I would recommend getting/renting the mechanical tool to retract the piston, not just the cube.

I would guess if you extended it out to far, you would have brake fluid leaking out around the piston. Mine extended out at least halfway way to the outside pad and they retracted just fine and are working just fine.

There is a specific tool on Amazon for about $25.00 that makes the retraction a whole lot easier.

Some thread on here say a proper brake bleed helps with the soft pedel issue... milage may vary.

Well...After getting the proper tool from HF, I was not able to screw it back in the proper. Looks like I've overextended it after all....had to get a new one from Rock Auto. After fooling with it for 4 hours with the wrong tool, it took maybe 45 minutes to get the ne one on, bled the brakes, and get the wheel back on the ground.

The other side was done in less than an hour! Use the right tool (i.e. https://www.harborfreight.com/master-brake-caliper-set-20-piece-58117.html). Amazon has them, but couldn't wait! Just make sure you get one that turns both ways like the HF tool.

By the way, if anybody reads this, I put Speed bleeders on all 4 calipers. If you don't know, Speed bleeders (https://www.speedbleeder.com) are the caliper bleeders with the check ball in them. Bleeding brakes is a one man job!
