I brought the front up 2.25 inches with the Eibach's. I am planning on raising the rear 1 inch. I have seen a couple of photos that show that the stock leafs are completely flattened after installing a block. This has me leaning towards installing a helper leaf. Just wondered what the experience of those who have installed blocks is.

I can't speak for those installing blocks or helper leafs but between the two a helper leaf may give you a rougher ride. My real question is what is your overall goal? Are you looking to use the truck for offroad and therefore looking to get a little more clearance? Are you looking to get more travel? This may help us help you.

As stated my over all goal is to lift the rear of the truck aprox 1 inch. I am just asking those who have installed a block if this flattens the arc on the stock leaf springs.

It shouldn't do such. Especially a 1 inch block. My question to you is why a block?

After the 2.25 inch level in front I mainly don't want a sagging rear when towing or carrying a load. A secondary benefit is the slight increase in departure angle

With that being said i take it you like to go offroad a little bit? If so I would suggest changing leaf springs. The one i would go with for you is the APG leafs. The standard one will give about a 1 inch lift according to one of the other members on here there fore it will give you more departure angle while allowing you to have a fairly level truck when loaded. You also with get more travel out of the rear end making the offroad a bit more fun and easier.

Consider a shackle lift instead of blocks. This will reduce axle wind / hop. Axle wind is induced by blocks as they give the winding action of the axle under acceleration more leverage to twist the spring. Here is a set of shackle lifts from BDS: https://www.jackit.com/bds-123109.html I have them on my 2020 Ford Ranger Fx4 Super Crew. Came with the 3.5" Lift Kit w/ BDS Upper Control Arms. The shackles lift the rear by 1 ". Here is the BDS Page, https://bds-suspension.com/product-display?sr=123109 click the button next to your truck model. Very thick side plates, super well built.
