What color? ?

I like that Marsh Gray, the rendering looks good anyway lol. The way the packages are now though, are kinda wonky, or I'm just not remembering correctly lol. The look is growing on me, and I could over look the no SCAB option, but 300A you get power folding mirrors, but not heated? 301A gives you heated seats, but still no heated mirrors? Doesn't look like running boards are included in the FX4 package either.

it's a really good truck imo.

vs the Tacoma - the Ranger has a somewhat usable back seat, the Taco simply does not.

vs the GM twins - the Ranger doesn't look as good, but also Mary Barra isn't the CEO of Ford, so I can rest easier knowing the Bloody Mary isn't trying to harvest every nickel and dime out of me possible (whether literally or via illegal data theft).

vs the Frontier - the Nissan is actually a really solid truck for day to day life... offers a crew cab + long bed option.. but the Ranger is just better and more comfortable at towing full stop.

these are very reductive points, but i think they're valid in my own personal analysis for my ownership.

i wasn't enthusiastic about the ranger's looks, but i too am learning to like it... maybe a slight style refresh in 2026?

I haven't seen one up close yet or stopped to check one out at the dealer. I know looks aren't everything (where have I heard that before lol) but I just don't care for the front end at all and some of the body angles. But I'm always late adapting to new things (I so hate change!) so maybe it'll grow on me over time .

When my '19 was totaled they had already stopped production of the 5G and were still several months off from starting the 6G. The new Colorado was just launched and I was very close to buying one. I had already built up a new ZR2 but they were delayed in production and luckily I found my Tremor en route to a dealer in Spokane, WA with no buyer. Otherwise this would be in my garage now.

That's not ugly in the least. As for the 6G, yes it may have grow on you. But I remember seeing the new 5G and loved it from the get go.

The new Colorado is a great looking truck. I momentarily considered one.

As with anything, opinions will vary, but on Edmunds it has an awfully high amount of 1 star owner reviews.

After reading all the 5 star owner reviews of the new Ranger, I may have to look at one after all.

Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely be delighted to have one, but I dunno, it's just a bit too flashy don't you think?

I tend to form an opinion quickly (on people too) and rarely deviate from it. I know what I like and it's rare something or someone will change my mind. I don't think the 6G is hideous but after 18 months it's not changing my mind either. lol

The first time I saw the 5G was in an online article which had it in Saber, I loved it from the moment I saw it. We were in Durango, CO in late June 2019 and I was getting gas and a lady parked next to me with this exact one. When we got home I traded in my '16 Tacoma for one and couldn't have been happier.

I don't and I'm not one for "flashy" things. My first F150 was a deep burgundy and I just always loved that color. Mazda has a similar color and I really like that one too. Maybe because I love detailing my vehicles and the darker colors really stand out more and you can really see the shine and depth when you're done. I do like my white Tremor but after hours of detailing it the "Wow" factor just isn't there like my Saber one.

Here is some food for thought guys, I winter in Panama (the republic, not the city in Florida), and here the truck of choice for government, police etc used to be the Hilux, not so much any more, the Ranger is really making in roads in that segment.
