I already have BFG KO2s in LT285/70R17 sitting in my garage. The problem is the wheels I'm after aren't available yet - I'm trying to get my hands on a set of the Ranger Raptor wheels from the Overseas truck.
Can't wait to see the finished product!

Good luck!

Also... I'd like to know how the heavier tires and lift ultimately affect the mpgs.

I'm sure others would also be curious.

My set is supposed to be arriving any second. When are you planing on doing the install and do you know what the offset/backspacing, etc is on the Raptor wheels you are waiting for?

It's looking like I'll get my truck on Wednesday, but I'll be in Vegas this weekend so I'll have to put it off at least until maybe Sunday or next weekend. I've searched and searched, but can't find any info on the backspacing or offset for the Raptor Wheels at all. Seeing as they were on the SEMA trucks, I presume they'd fit.

Are you going to install the lift yourself? Or have it done?

Will you have to take off the rough country leveling kit to install in a full suspension later?? I’m assuming you will right?? How goes that work??

That was my next question. Other than the typical nose bleeds because of the higher altitude(Jk) After you install them, Hopefully you can answer them lol!!!

Well, I am getting the 2WD and just like the look of the rake of the 4WD , just a little raise in the cargo area looks great to me. Now if any of you can remember back this far, it reminds me of my 1968 AMX with air shocks, Craeger mags and Mickey Thompson fat ass racing wheels. Those were the days and at 65 years old this is my last hoorah so do I need to put fix shocks or has anyone got their 2WD Ranger and the back is lifted.??

Right on! I plan on installing my kit on Saturday. Im going to have one rim and tire mounted tomorrow and do a test fit tomorrow night ( at the normal ride hight). If all looks good I will have the other three mounted and do the level kit on Saturday. I'll report back if there are any issues. Hopefully it goes a lot smoother than my tonneau cover install.

Well, if I pull the stock shock out to put in the full suspension, the RC spacers are attached to the top, so they'll come out with it. Trying to convince myself its worth getting two alignments.

Be careful, while the ride may not be effected much, it does alter the handling of the vehicles a bit, particularly so with a load. There is no way you'll be able to haul what the truck was rated for with a leveling kit. I realize most folks don't care, and I haven't in the past either, but it's something to consider, particularly so since the truck has a fairly aggressive nose down stance. I know this is a stop gap for folks until a proper lift comes out - but it's worth mentioning!

The wheel/tire combo will change the ride quality more than the slight lift. Off-road tires on 20s will be much more rough than road tires on 18s.
