Q2 2020 sales stats are in and the Ranger racked up 25,008 units sold in the US. This represents an increase of 19.2% over Q1 sales and a 19.8% increase from Q2 2019 sales.

For the first time ever, this makes the Ranger the 2nd best selling midsize pickup in the US, as it leaps over the Colorado!

Here's how the Ranger fared against the competition:

Nice... Glad to see the Ranger having such strong numbers.

Kind of messed up that it's listed under the Tacoma in the chart despite there not being any sales figures for it yet... I mean, currently it is the top seller with the current available information...

Those are some huge drops for Nissan and Chevy.

Kind of surprised at the Gladiator numbers, but what do I know, I'm not a Jeep guy.
I think these percent increase is skewed because Q2 of 2019 is when the Gladiator came out and thus sold very little, so the increase from year to year is not as meaningful. It is an increase over Q1 of this year though. So they are taking a bigger hold. I'm with you, not sure why they're selling so many. I'm sure it comes down the wow factor of it. No way 19k people a quarter need a Wrangler with a bed. I'd be interested to see how many of those came from a Wrangler. Are they just taking their own sales for the most part in the end?

The Frontier numbers I bet dropped a lot because the new redesign will be out new year and some are waiting for that. I owned 2 frontiers while waiting for the Ranger to come back. It is a basic truck but built solid. They seem to be used a lot for fleet vehicles now...the ranger use to be the dominate fleet vehicle when they were cheap and had a single cab.

I'm not a Jeep guy either, but I am not that surprised to see the Gladiator put up such good and rising numbers. It is hardly a scientific survey, but driving around northern Delaware, I see several Gladiators every time I take my Ranger out, but we hardly ever meet another Ranger--and when we do, it's usually the same guy, who must live around here!

Tacos are like rats in my area. Plenty of Colorados, too. I see a few other Rangers, and I think there's one in particular that I see with some regularity. There's a few Gladiators, too. My dog trainer got one...I've mentioned her before, she's the person that went to a Gladiator from a Prius.

Agreed. Especially since the moment it came out I saw them everywhere here in North Dallas. I rarely see a Ranger, though I am seeing them a little more often.

I do not understand how the Colorado has been doing so well.
I rented one for a cross country drive and it was inferior to my Ranger in every way. I'm glad that the sales numbers are matching up to my impressions.
And it doesn't bother me that the taco is listed in first place without final numbers, it's a good truck too.

I've seen more Gladiators than Rangers around Central FL. I bet most of the Gladiators are pavement princesses as well.
