What's the knee airbag coming out from under the dash, in the last crash test, the small overlap test?

Do NA rangers have that?

Also, very interesting to see seatbelt pretensioning; so fast.

Yup thats where the wheek deformation comes from. This still image on the video link really solidifes the argument to leave them on.

Looking at this I would say that side airbags would be needed. In both frontal and side collision the drivers head hits the B-pilar and may cause serious injury.
