Random miss fire code

2019 Lariat. Check engine light came on has random miss fire code. Also,the truck bucked a little going from 8 to 9 gear about 40mph one time. Could this be the EGR DPFE sensor, our maybe some bad gas? I cleared the code going to see if it returns. My truck has the cover to prevent water from getting in the spark plug wells. If it comes back I will check spark plug wells for moisture. What else should I check? Thanks for any help! Truck also idles rough, My gas millage is 22mpg. Is the wells part from Rock auto good? Where to get the part for the best price? Truck has 44650 miles.

Can you post the DTC codes? Could be bad spark plugs or coils.

The Standard Motor Products EGR DPFE sensor from RockAuto is the same as the Ford part. It appears to be the OEM for Ford.

Did you change the plugs recently? The last coil pack is hard to get back on correctly and will throw a misfire code.

The bucking could certainly be the DPFE sensor. I sometimes get strange shifts at light throttle (especially 8th gear). It is not consistent but it is always on very light throttle.

If you had, that would have been an easy fix. Hopefully you get it sorted quickly. Having just gone thru wiring issues myself (mouse and water intrusion), I know how frustrating it can be.
