I agree with Dave’s comments above about 303 Protectant and Detailing sprays. Not only do they work great, they are super easy to apply and you don’t have to necessarily be in the shade, under clouds, or in your garage to do it. Great products. I sometimes use other detailing sprays because I still have leftovers from before I discovered 303 but there’s always more buffing and avoiding direct sun so I’m almost always grabbing the 303 even though I want to use up the others.

Now, Duke’s 404 is on a whole other level but that’s for another thread.

Belt molding? Is that really the correct terminology?

Where to buy the 303 and/or Nano spray?

After a year of trying different products, I finally found the combination of products that restores the faded/moldy/sun damaged belt molding on our trucks! For whatever reason, I have noticed that most 2019/2020 Rangers around me have this issue. Mine is a 2020 and it drove me crazy to see this on a truck that was 4 years old.

I did see both of these products mentioned separately deep in other threads about this issue, but the combination that worked for me is magic eraser and chemical guys trim clean wax and oil remover.

Had all rubber molding on my truck looking brand new after about 10 minutes! Soaked the magic eraser in the chemical guys spray and very carefully scrubbed the rubber. Making sure not to touch the paint or glass.

Apologies if this post is a bit redundant, however I think it may help some people! Happy Friday ranger5g people :sunglasses:.

I have not observed mine doing that...maybe because it is a garage vehicle when not in use?

Yup, garage parking will keep all the trim looking new....my Ranger and wifes Subi are garaged, and trim on both...2021 Ranger, 2018 Subi Outback, still look new.
Also when using the 303 Graphene on both, all the exterior trim gets an application just like the body panels. As Dave noted, it's better than the 303 Protectant (on the exterior) in keeping the trim looking good, and as with all the 303 stuff, it leaves no residue.

I like the topics that say "Have you ever seen this" or "whats this I found on the floor or in the bed"
you just know they are going to be worth reading LOL

Just so ya'll know, I got some of that Duke's 404 thru a blackmarket site. Tried it and now every dog in the neighbor hood comes by and tries to pee on it !!!
Yeah, the pee rolls right off of the truck, but every dog now chases my truck down the street !!!
Going back to the 303 !!!

Just changed the title.

Btw, if people would listen and use other the 303 Aerospace Protectant or the Graphene Nano spray on their trim moulding they wouldn't have these issues. :wink:Neither of my Rangers had this problem baking in 110+ heat in AZ.
Yep, the 303! I think when I installed my Bakflip, instructions suggested keeping the rubber trim maintained with it. I've been using it on all the 2020 Ranger rubber moulding and it still looks like new. It's a lot of work keeping nice things nice, but it's worth it in the long run.

Thanks for posting this! My passenger side was really faded on my 2021.... seemed like it was fine up until about 2 weeks ago. So Sunday, I followed your tips and it turned out pretty good. Only did the passenger side for now.
