Hello,
For a month my pre-collision sensor has went off every morning. The dealer was finally able to take the car in and was able to run A diagnostic test on it. Diagnostic test was ran for seven business days. Today they have contacted me to let me know that the reason the pre-collision was malfunctioning, was due to the doors being broke on the vehicle. I was not in an accident nor did I hit anything. Has anybody experienced this with their ranger?

That's the strangest thing for a broken door to trigger the pre-collision. Sorry I can't help. I'm tempted to turn mine off.

Very odd... When you learn more, would you be able to post back here with what they said, on how the doors relate to the pre-collision functionality? Just so that we can learn from what happened with your truck :)

Is there a sensor in the door broken, or something else broken? Can you post a write up the dealer gave you? And is this covered under warranty? Curious.

Yes. When I get the report I will share.
Please include you quotes and your replies in the same post. Just click "Post reply." Also, man that is weird about the so called broken doors.

and just an FYI, Ford didn't run diagnostics for several days....they plugged in the computer 10 minutes before they called you and told you the first thing that popped into their head.
You're truck spent a few days collecting dust in the back lot before someone decided it was time to look at it.
Thank you for your feed back. I know that lol. I have the Ford Tracker app on my phone.

A diagnostic test doesn’t take seven days I am fully aware of that. Lol my vehicle sat in the back of the dealership until day seven.
