Yes 3 actually. ORV permit, ORV trail permit and State park passport. They also require a flag and max tire inflation of 15psi

It’s a ZOO. Heads got to be on a swivel constantly. Too many humans

Yup, it was even pretty busy when I was there. I remember only needing the OHV pass to get into the dunes back then. And I remember that gas station right down the street that everyone aired up at ?

Yeah I hear you. But our club had their outing/bbq there and I hadn’t been there in decades. May be decades again before I go. To be fair though it was a sunny summer Saturday in Michigan in the middle of July so it should be expected

I'd go for a bbq maybe, if it was away from the hills in which they traveled.

You'd likely see me there on the side eating where I wouldn't get creamed by a dumbass in a tacoma or something.

The State has done a lot of expansion for the off road enthusiasts. They added a free air up area also

That's the boundary I remember, but I'm glad they're keeping it up and trying to help enthusiasts and users. It can get absolutely crazy there, but it is gorgeous.
