Rode with 6 other Florida Ranger owners through the fire roads, sand and mud of the Ocala National Forest yesterday. Had a blast. My FX4 never let me down - even in some considerably deep mud and very loose and deep sand. I think I'll keep her!

Love the set up on your truck
Got to get it dirty
Mine is pretty basic so far, but it’s getting there! Thanks! I haven’t had a 4WD in a long time, need to get it off the pavement!

Gave Signal Peak Trail a try yesterday going the “hard way” up and the Tacoma I was with wasn’t going to make it so had to turn around and in doing so got some ugly pinstriping. The rock sliders paid for themselves yesterday and mechanically the truck did great.

From what I’ve heard and found out yesterday, it used to be a good trail to take beginners on because there were some decent obstacles but nothing too hard and the view at the top is amazing. However it is now a lot more rutted out and the few obstacles are a lot more difficult than it used to be. Still might try going up the “easy way” because it was disappointing not being able to get to the top (and the scratches).

I feel that. There's a lot of things that I think would be great but the rutting on trails around here lately has gotten pretty bad. I'm going to try to make it to the Holcomb area soon.

Drove up to the top of Squaw Butte in Idaho (map) to photograph the Neowise comet last night. One section of the ... we'll call it a "road" up there is at a 12% grade and quite rough. I've tried out 4 low before, but this is the first time I've actually needed it. The Ranger did great, and the view from the top was outstanding!

Dang, now I have to get up there.
Watch out for cattle. We had to wait for several groups of cows to move along off the road. Also, there is a lot of scrub really close to the road. Here is what the sides of the truck looked like once I was back home (pictures are from the bay of the car wash where I just sprayed it all off - no permanent damage... the ceramic coating is doing its job!)
