When coming to a stop the parking assist begins going off when almost stopped and the picture on the screen shows a red outline all around the truck with the right front corner highlighted and blinking. I am not close close to anything nor am I getting emergency power reduced message. I checked the front sensors and they are not dirty or covered with winter road slop.

I have an appointment with the dealer after Christmas to get it looked at. Fortunately I have the extended warranty top level so it should be covered and all I should be faced with is the $100 deductible.

Try taking an old toothbrush and cleaning around the sensors in the bumper. There is a recessed ring around each sensor that needs to be clean.

I did flush them with a bucket of water, no change.

Also, remove the sensor connectors behind the bumper and check for moisture or poor connections. The DTCs should point out which sensor is having an issue. Any dirt in the recess around the sensor could cause an issue. Water may not flush it out by itself.

DTC codes??
A code reader to read stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes. The program Forscan with an adaptor works well. It should pinpoint which sensor and what errors are detected. From your description, it appears to be the front right sensor.

I had a similar episode this week. After a couple of snow events and after brushing off the sensors, a periodic warning, sound and picture, also front right. It happened several times over two days but not since. I believe this happened last winter also.

Will happen here when they ice up. So far no problem yet.
