the problem with this statement is that multiple owners have said that their ranger functions the way mine USED to work. You are basically saying they are misunderstanding the way their truck works as well. Overall, the fact that Ford isn’t clear themselves about the way it’s supposed to work is a major problem. A Ford tech should be able to diagnose the problem and fix it instead of telling me some bs because they can’t figure it out.
So pre collision assist activates at 6 mph and higher, pedestrian alert is on up to 50 mph and the parking sensors are active below 3mph. Those are all the easily found figures direct from ford. The fact of the matter is if your pre collision system was activating in a car wash and in the situations you described it was malfunctioning and not operating properly, just because multiple people have the same malfunction doesn't mean it is correct. The person you replied to doesn't have a misunderstanding you do. 5 seconds of googling and bare minimum due diligence would have told you that. The service techs and advisors are not mind readers, you need to point them in the right direction especially for something that isn't throwing codes. They fixed the issue in spite of your incompetence which is great, but that is in spite of you make no mistake.
