I have been going to the most awesome family owned body shop for years. I’m going to talk to them about my options for the repainting. I am also gonna hit them up about the hood overhanging issue. Small tweaks to make my Ranger pride shine.

It's always nice to have a body shop that you can depend on. Locally, that would be Magnum Collision, but they recently sold to a new owner; I'm hoping their quality will not suffer. Hood overhang issue? What's that? I've heard some concerns from others about tailgate misalignment.

Your truck looks great, btw; same trim level that I'm planning on ordering, except in blue or red-orange.

The hood seems to hang over more on one side.
I had noticed that on mine, but in looking closer both sides seem to overhang the fenders slightly. It didn't really seem to be a mis alignment.

I guess you could call it a hat not a hood.

Interesting; is it always like that? The overhang might be related to thermal expansion of the aluminum hood; the hotter the hood, the bigger the hood, relative to the steel frame.

It's really too bad about the hood, it's a stamping problem from their suppliers. The only way to fix it would be to bring out the fenders and that would bring out a whole can of worms and headaches. The front of the hood also hangs over like buck teeth their may be a fix by ajusting of the hood hinges. The true fix would be to have the hoods restamped and replaced.

My gear head buddy couldn’t stand it, so he pulled out the fenders. It took him maybe 20 minutes.

Was this just as easy as loosening the bolts under the hood on the fender and giving it a good tug?
