Most important thing is following the maintenance schedule.
As long as the oil is rated properly API/SAE or whatever, too lazy to check, your good. 5/30, 10/30 or 5/40, your probably good.
The proper viscosity is extremely important in modern engines, unlike engines from 30 years ago. Engines are engineered to work with a specific viscosity and changing from what is recommended may have adverse effects. 5W-30 is what Ford recommends for the 2.3.

Usually use oem synth blend and change every 5-6k or per year whichever comes first.
Full synth if I feel like blowing the extra $15.

full synthetic in mine. but i would not turn my nose up to the semi synthetic as long as it meets all the standards and requirements spec in the owners manual. i change mine about every 5k or whenever it the eyeball and thumbs say its time whichever is sooner.

Amsoil boosted oil. Supposed to be for boosted direct injection engines.
That's not what Amsoil Boosted is. That's just the name they name they gave to their line of oil that falls in place between their OE and Signature lines. All three are fine for all types of motor vehicle gas engines.

None of your business
Mostly Rotella 15w40 T4, some 5w40 T5 and T6, and has Delvac 15w40 in it now. All HD diesel oil. 55k miles and no issues.

I run the same oils and weights in all my IC engine equipment, personal and work, ever since I was a baby. All routinely go 200k before I pass them on for a second life. All have silent engines, never a cat problem, and all are driven very hard. Some have even burned copious amounts of oil.

FWIW, Ford recommends 5w30 on their 3rd Gen Coyotes, yet requires 5w50 when tracked. Manufactures oil weight rec. has nothing to do with tolerances or VCT.

OTIs on the Ranger have been about 6-10k. Filter changes about every other OC.
