Been towing with it for over a year. Simply asking questions since I'm not a hitch engineer.
I use a Husky Centerline TS WDH to tow our 23 ft travel trailer. Hitch setup question...... The instructions say to make sure the truck and trailer are level after setup is complete. The unloaded truck is higher in the rear than the front by design, My question is should I be trying to achieve...

I've got mine oriented like yours on the bottom holes. It's about perfect for the coupler height. If the truck was any higher, I would have to get a longer shank for sure. I just have to lift it up pretty high to get the tension off to get the bars on and off. Sounds like that's pretty...
thanks! You answered my question. I think because the rear sits up higher anyway, it causes me to really raise it up high to get the bars on. Thanks again!
I weighed it. I have 1000lb Husky Centerline bars. It is setup level. All I was asking if anyone else had to raise the back of their Ranger that high to attach the spring bars before lowering back down.
I tow a 4500 lb camper with a 750 lb tongue weight. When I attach the spring bars on my hitch I have to raise the back of the truck up to almost lifting the rear wheels off the ground in order to achieve the correct levels when hitched up. Anyone else experience the same? Note, then hitched...
I have picked up a "thump" in what seems to be in the rear end. I could be transmission but not sure. When I come to a stop, I feel a thump or bump coming from the rear. When I begin moving again it can be felt at times too. Anyone else experienced this? It's not bad yet, but annoying. Thanks!
Anyone done this with a 2022 Ranger Supercrew? If so, how did it go up and down? Any tips are appreciated as we are planning to go Asheville NC area traveling on I 40 from Raleigh.
Thanks!
Update.... I reweighed the tongue using the digital bathroom scale/pipe and a 4x4 method. The real number seems to be 655. I rechecked it 3 times to verify. 655 makes a whole lot more sense.
I had the dealer weight it when we took it on for warranty work. I saw the scale that said 800lbs. The 3850 is the dry weight on the sticker. it was new.
