Plenty of used Rangers out there, with some good motors. i like the 4.0l, tons of torque!
You can go older that that, get a driver classic, up side, if you maintian it, no depreciation!
I've had old cars though, New is Nice : )
This is EXACTLY why I rebuilt my 2005 Ranger 4.0l 4x4 with limited slip differential, and will be keeping each. Both my 2005 and the 2020 have their charm. I absolutely love my 2005 - sometimes less is more. Both are clean as a whistle.

I drive my 2010 4.0 everyday, and have since 2010. I love my Rangers.

I negociated the deal for my girlfriend at the time, white Ex Cab 4.0L. Easy to spin that back wheel. Blast to drive.

I’ve had the oil life thing in my last 4 Ford’s and 2 things it goes extreme on: stop signs & quick pulls from lights in cities and when it’s been sat awhile (left my Mustang in a airport car park for two months this year with COVID and it must have a counter that increases over time when not used Cause it moaned at me the next day and I change it 5k every time).

Over the years I’ve come to see it as a very ineffective tool to measure true oil life, but great for the general driver that might drive it for 20k hard city miles before thinking about a change.
