  1. 2019 XLT Engine Whine

Hi everyone, New to the site (although I’ve been lurking for a while) and also the new owner to a 2019 XLT. 33k miles, excited to join the community I’m having an issue that I hope someone might be able to identify, I’ve read a few similar posts on the site but this seems slightly different...
  2. To warm-up or not to warm-up...

Hope @P. A. Schilke chimes in: Was reading that starting the vehicle and letting warm up VS start driving directly is bad, in the long term, for the engine. Several reliable references confirmed this. saying that parts of the engine/trans could be starved of oil, thus accelerating wear. As it...
  3. What are your thoughts on the Ranger's long-term durability?

I realize that this has been discussed in other posts before, but I don't believe we have a post specifically discussing owner's perspectives/beliefs regarding the truck's long-term durability. Granted, much of this will be speculation, as the only real way to test this is to let time take its...
  4. Oil Life at 57% with only 667 miles since change

Basically just my title, my oil was changed at 1,209, but my OLM is at 57% with only 667 miles. What’s going on here? I did do a few hard pulls after change. Truck has not been driven much and has been in extended parking (it’s been parked for most of its life, bought in November 2019) thanks!

  6. Ranger Danger Build Thread

I've been meaning to start a build thread, as I enjoy building up and documenting what I've worked on and how my truck has changed. 2015: Bought the truck in November. Shortly after started offroading and tried to climb Panama's highest peak, Volcán Barú, but I was denied by the park rangers...
  7. Accidentally bumped red line

Well, silly me didn’t read through my manual. I have 380 miles on my truck and had decided to test out sport mode. Little did I know the truck would not shift by itself (like my old yota) and ran the truck all the way up through red line and backed off QUICKLY while sobbing. I assumed that sport...
  8. I had my doubts about the engine, they are beginning to get confirmed

Hi all, So, today, at 317 miles, my truck gave me a low oil pressure and check engine light warning. I checked the oil dip stick, looked normal. I called the toll free number for Ford's towing services, had it towed to a dealership, and they said they will take a look at it tomorrow (Its...
