turn off sport trac-or whatever it's called- by holding down the slip control buton for 5 seconds and the light flashes on on the dash. I can drift no problem but I drive like an ass sometimes.
Ohh, I'm guilty of asshat driving as well.

However, disabling AnvanceTrac with the long button push will NOT disable Roll Stability control. And RSC WILL shut down the fun at a roughly 30° of angle. If it's not kicking on for you, you simply aren't sideways enough.

According to the manual Sand Mode is the only way to disable RSC. I've yet to confirm, I'm waiting for the proper tractionless surface because Sand Mode is 4wd only.

That being said, it's possible the videos were shot in Sand Mode. All the "road" surfaces were suitable for 4wd.

But dry pavement drifting of a Ranger is damn near impossible. She'll let you hang it out, but not too far. As soon as the system detects enough angle the brakes will engage and loer will be pulled until gou're straight again.

My gf has a Honda Civic so I know what you mean. When she hits the horn I tell her it sounds like someone strangling a chicken. lol
College Hills Honda have the replacement horns for about 60 bucks. The Honda horns only have one wire so it's just a good plug and play. One time I used horns from a dodge ram and I just had to ground the second wire to the bolts that held the horns on.

It’s going to look like a slightly shrunk f-150, very slightly. Will happily be driving my present G5 for a long time.

I've always changed the horns on my wife's Hondas. That Meep Meep horn just gets you the finger at most. But that regular horn gets their attention especially when you just hold it down. I wanted to put an air horn on it but at several hundred dollars, the regular will work.
OH I don't know 'bout that...maybe its just the Honda that gets the finger.....
"That horn could not be any greater"

Ford sure is good at making videos. lol When I saw the first one for the Bronco I was hooked! Now with all the delays and problems they're having with the hart tops I'll be lucky to see mine two years after placing my order. Not 100% of the problems were covid and parts constraints either so there's plenty to blame on Ford for this mess. I guess I'll get more excited when they're actually produced and on dealers lots.

Not trying to be a downer here but this whole Bronco launch has been a disaster. It's not their first one either, the Explorer was a disaster too and that was PRE-covid. I know these are pre-production but I sure hope they're not trying to make this look like a baby F150. :puke:
Yep me too. And to call the Bronco launch a disaster is probably, somehow, being nice. A very small percentage of those have been delivered and the "Issues, Recalls etc." thread is full. From water leaks to mirrors whistling to tail light trim just falling off. I'm not sure I'm even following my Bronco order thru. I have had so many issues with our $52k Edge ST, that I'm probably gonna just wait a while and buy a 3rd year model when it comes to Fords going forward. My biggest gripe isn't the issues so much, stuff happens, they're built by people. It's the fact that I really don't have a competent service department near me which magnifies the issues. As for this 2023 Ranger, I hope Ford goes back to leaf packs. I think the parabolic set up is an engineering fail for everything off road. Coils on this size truck make so much sense. Styling wise, I see more of a Maverick front end with those lights. I don't think Ford is going to make this look too much like an F-150.

Purchasing the 3rd year of the 6G Ranger sounds about right. They will hopefully have worked the bugs out by then. After that its all about the bean counters getting in there and seeing what they can remove from the truck to maximize profits.

I'm just sitting back and waiting to see what the reviews are when all the dirt mountain Broncos are released in the next few months. IIRC there's 2,000-3,000 sitting there so once they get delivered we will start to see if there are any more issues arising.

I rarely even go on the B6G forum now, maybe a couple times a day for a few minutes to check if there's any new news. My excitement level went from a 10 - 3 but hopefully there's no new problems and it'll peak again. It's only a toy for me so I can wait a few years until they iron out the problems but I get bored quick so I'm already looking into other toys for a back up plan. ?

Curious what y’all think about ordering a ranger right now. I did the mustang club of America membership last month, so 90 days would put me at about Nov 29th for X-plan. At this point, should I wait for the details on the 2022 to come out? I know the 6gen is late 2022, but I’m wondering if they will have any updates for the 5th gen 2022 model. I was hoping the 2022 details might come out sep/oct time frame.

my thought is you have to ask yourself "what is missing from the current year that a new year might have." also are prices going to stabilize (I personally don't think they are going to fall much if at all) or are they just going to get higher and higher.
