Off-Roam phone holder

Anyone have this or thinking about it?
Looks as if I have to keep the vent slants down permanently for install.

I use the CarPlay feature I was just thinking on a phone holder for the passenger and just looking to spend money I shouldn’t. ?

Sounds silly doesn't it. What else is stupid is that price. I have a mount that does the same thing but it uses heavy spring as it's clamp force and only set me back $25. No link cause I just went to look and it's not available.



Edit: Then again, if $80 means nothing to you, go for it. Get that gucci phone holder.

Nah I have one just like the off...roam(ugh) design where it clamps vertically.

I also have other cheapo ones that hook the vent themselves, and one I can suction-cup mount.

... Yet with all these holders I still just hold the damn phone in my hand.

Just wondering if that clamp for the holder will mar up that plastic around the vents.

I put a strip of Velcro (loop side) on the back of my iPhone, and a piece of hook side in the handbrake well. I can "stick" the phone in there connected with plenty of room for using the handbrake. The phone is easily accessible, doesn't flop around, and keeps the cupholders and vents clear. The tray where the USB ports are has two vents on the upper surface that keep that area warm or even hot in the summer and I think that may weaken the phone's battery over time so I don't keep battery stuff in there. Feel along the upper surface of that cubby and you'll sense warm/hot air even while using A/C

I your passenger wants one let them buy it?
there are cheaper and better ones on Amazon, heck even truck stops have them for $20?
I just toss mine up on the dash or down in the cubby hole, once its plugged in I dont need to see it LOL

Looks l like it's got red liners to protect the dash.
Also from the website: "Offroam mechanically clamps to the air vent without leaving any marks thanks to an embedded elastomer liner."

Hmm, need to see if that would work with the little 4 inch XL screen, not sure I have the same gap since the screen doesn't go all the way to the vents.

I would recommend you check out ProClip's mounts, they're about the same price but don't impact your vents at all. I've been running them for quite some time and I love them. I have mine mounted on the right side of the screen using the pieces below.
