Thanks to some lovely individuals that seem to want to promote a particular brand, I am simply curious who here actually buys it and who doesn't?!

And if you are wondering I have two other members on here that kinda gave me an idea of sorts, but I made my own twist!! ?

I don't buy the most expensive oil, (i use MotorCraft blend) but I do buy the most expensive gas, for some reason, so I'm not sure I fit in the "sane" category...
A bit of a different category, but then again there are vehicles out there that benefit from premium fuel vs regular. There are also vehicles that don't benefit from premium fuel as well. Just depends.

I only do it with the Ranger, in my mind, it will help with the valve build up issues some have had, another reason I drive in tow/sport all the time, low rpms also contribute, in my mind anyway...

Let me help you out. You are definitely not in the sane category. Despite what oil or gas you may use, we've all seen your poetry and multiple personalities.
But it's ok, you are not alone and there are many of us here. ;)
And no snake oil for me.

The parts area of my local Ford dealer here in Surprise is covered in Amsoil stickers and other signage, and also has an end-cap type of display with many types if Amsoil products.

So naturally I have Ford put in the house-brand Ford oil (Motorcraft?) ? and have the oil changed approx every 5K miles.

There's a good reason to buy more expensive gas, better additives etc. Or at least that's what I tell myself.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with Amsoil and I use to be a dealer for it years ago. It was expensive and we got a small discount being a dealer for it. We all used their 2 stroke oil in our snowmobiles and while it was expensive not one single person (15+ in our group) ever had any problems with our sleds running it. For the record we use to drag race our sleds up in Northern Maine on Eagle Lake. They were always run hard and to the limit. Did the Amsoil help? Maybe, maybe not but for that little extra $ it was worth it.

In my Ranger I just run the full synthetic Motocraft and premium fuel since day one. It's good to have choices and not sure why you constantly criticize those for making their own choices

Same here. Only 91 octane top tier gas from Costco or QT if Costco is somehow unavailable to me.

I think everyone needs to try AMSoil at least once, my last oil change I dropped the big bucks on amsoil, now I can say never again, I am going back to Mobile One that has treated my truck and me right my whole life!
I am going to get every last cent out of this oil change first! I am at 26k on this oil change now, its still clean I change the filter at 15k LOL
doing the exact same thing on all of my trucks I have had them die anywhere between 250k and 400k, either way I start looking for a new truck at 200k, in my late 50s now I have slowed down and only put 26k on this truck in a year, so its had one oil change in its 36k life, when this one dies I will look into getting a Raptor for retirement :) if I dont change the oil ever again it should last 3 years?
