Now I remember why I don't use FB Marketplace.

"Item For sale: Wheel Spacers 6x139.7 (6x5.5) bolt pattern"

Proceed to get bombarded with "Hey will this fit X vehicle" responses.

Craigslist always ends up being, "Hey will take $20 cash, a jar of my toenails, and a half used bottle of mayo as trade?"

I weep for society.

Still got it? I’ll send my woman over to pick it up. Might have some 2 o’clock shadow but doesn’t bite. Make a deal? ?

Pretty much what you see on Craiglist too.

Another one is "I'll send my shipper to pick it up".

I always like "What's the lowest price you'll take"? Damnit.......:)

BTW, are these still available? :)

Just to play devils advocate. FB glitches (at least mine does) on marketplace and many times the only thing they will let you message at first contact is "is this still available".

I really don't understand why FB won't spend some time improving marketplace. It could be a great resource, it's just too glitchy. I've had listings I can find on my phone that I can't find on my computer. No way to know how old the listing is. Listings popping up half way across the country, etc.

"Is this still available?" Doesn't even warrant a response when I always type "If you're reading this post, the item is still available. Don't expect a response if you send a message asking if it's still available".

I've actually had pretty good luck with FB Marketplace - MUCH better results than Craigslist. I actually sold my 2005 Ranger on FB Marketplace and got a pretty good price for it.

I agree mostly but FB marketplace has been pretty good for me on a few things that i sold. It "Offer up" that is just a bunch of noise and waste of time.

I can't disagree Rob. The things I've listed on both FB Marketplace, and Craigslist have all sold on Marketplace first. I don't know why. I sold a '92 Toyota pick-up in 3 days on FB, and got more than I was asking. Of course I had to wade through a bunch of low ballers first. :)
