Oh boy, I hope your outcome isn't a rebuild.
That's the rubber bearing supporting the whole assembly? Or an internal component within the assembly?

Big thread working my way through it I just saw that description and thought, hmmm that's not a bad description

Oh! I misread that: driveshaft, not crankshaft!

Turn off traction control, it could be the nanny acting up.

Could be either, once the rubber support goes the bearing is sure to follow.

Just tried it, big negative. Was a good idea, though.

The rubber 'looks' okay but I've got no idea if that matters. I'd imagine it's probably only gotta degrade a bit to allow so much movement in the bearing before it starts heating up and pitching a bitch... or a maybe the sound I'm hearing.

Or maybe I'm off altogether. Whatever it is needs to warm up too. Takes a couple pulls to heat up and start making itself known. Truck cools off, couple runs up to speed, nada. By the third plus... then you hear it.

Is there some noise inherent to a warm/hot turbo driven truck I'm unaware of and somehow never noticed before? Seems unlikely but I'll entertain the theory.

This came out of nowhere hopping on the highway yesterday. Uphill drive, spot that I sorta like to get on it a bit. NEVER heard it in that spot or anywhere else before. My guy says truck isn't happy but I've got all of 3600mi behind this thing there's guys here with 100k and more behind the wheel on these boards.

As we say in the bush, "Let er develop!"

You have a warranty. Just drive it until your appointment comes around. It's hardly even broken in yet!

I had the noise, too, if I'm understanding your description correctly.
For me, Only made the noise 65-75mph when I let off the throttle, and occasionally with light throttle at similar speeds.

My driveshaft support bearing was garbage

(yes I have bitch boy wrists)

I never got it resolved, dealer kept saying it's normal. I traded it in for my current Nissan due to multiple issues. Not saying that's what it is... But worth a look? I'm sure ford uses the same support bearing for both tremor and non tremor models.

That's a crazy amount of forward/back movement, is the whole thing disconnected to be able to do that I'm guessing?

Or is that all bolted up ready to go?

Untouched, in park. Sloppy from the factory.
I got alot of shuddering during acceleration cause of it.
