Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Symptoms: Intermittent groaning noise, almost sounds like the noise the ABS makes when it engages. Doesn't happen all the time, maybe 30% of the time. Did the procedure with Forscan to get the brake feel right that's outlined in the video and it almost sounds like that noise. It seemed to go away for awhile, like 3 or 4 days, but now it's back. Seems to happen more often on rough dirt roads. Brakes work fine. Just noisy for a moment. Calipers binding? Maybe?

I'll make an appointment at the dealership in Casa Grande. Last time I spoke with them they said they were booked up for two weeks and I was moving during that time frame, but now I'm moving back towards there.

Chances are what's going on since you do go off road or at least on dirt roads is dirt and dust getting in between the brake pads and the rotors. This is a pain in the ass to deal with but considered a normal type condition.

I had a vehicle that was sensitive to dust etc. Got crap on the rotors and it would groan and pop especially right before a stop.

The fix before I swapped for slotted rotors. Regreasing the calipers (once)
then when the sound returned: half a can of brake clean followed by a few hard stops going backwards. That would shut it up for a bit.

Sounds like Pad deposits or maybe air in the brake system. Either way if warranty take it to the dealership if pads and rotors are factory.
