Besides the people on this forum I'd bet no one else knows about this. There are over 100,000 Rangers out there and just over 9,000 members so 10% . I'm sure every auto manufacturer has cut something out of their vehicles so it's not just Ford but we only see this as it's posted here.Hopefully, Ford is taking note that owners/future owners are noticing the cost cutting.
I will try to get an earlier run of the 6G Ranger. Maybe 2nd or 3rd year before Ford starts to figure out how to make higher profits. Hopefully, by then Covid will be a non issue. I would purchase the lesser XL or XLT, but may have to move up to the Lariat to get the Tremor and PHEV options. Not to impressed they are removing some of the sound deadening.
If I was purchasing a last year of the 5G Ranger I better be getting a great price at the Dealer.
Sorry but it's hilarious those that want to bash Ford for this but it's been going on for years with every product out there. Have you seen what a package of cookies looks like? How about ice cream, crackers, or spaghetti sauce as these have been shrinking for years yet you're paying more for them. I'm as OCD as they come and I could care less if my handle was black or painted but I guess some just like to complain about anything. That wasn't directed at you Brian @Scooter just an observation of a select few who constantly bash Ford about their cost cutting moves when they buy every day items that have been cut over the years too. Now if they put in a small engine or an 8 speed tranny I would be upset but these items are trivial.
