I have had issues x4 with losing forward drive on this vehicle, was told by Service the first time no codes and they reset the transmission, since then it has now occurred 3x. Today 5/29 lost forward drive on transmission but no engine loss of power just no response from transmission to go forward this lasted about a minute then the transmission responded and went forward.
Also 2 previous times went over a speed bump and vehicle lost forward drive then responded.
Anybody else having this issue??

Have you or service checked the fluid level in the transmission? The speed bump part of your story has me wondering if its just barely got enough in it to make it work. I think some early 5G were coming out of the factory low on fluid.

When service checked it the first time was told there my have been debris in the transmission so they said they went through and reset it, don't know if it was low on fluid or not.
Just had another incident yesterday lost forward motion while in drive going up a slight incline just stop for about a minute tried giving it gas just reved up engine and didn't move then it decide to respond and I drove off, weird

this may be a simple electronic gremlin. sounds like its the truck is "thinking" im in neutral instead of drive. then a bit later getting told its in drive. 35 years ago i would have said bad relay or sensor lol. these days idk whats used to see the position of the gear shifter vs actual engagement. could be something stupid like something blocking the shifter from being able to go fully into drive, so a bump or jolt makes it go to neutral .

I am thinking - Low Fluid Level or a wiring issue, with the history of the 5G coming from the factory with low levels, I would check the level as the first step.
Another possible is the shift lever is slightly out of adjustment, when it does it again.
Slightly push fwd and back on the shift lever, or play with it sitting in the driveway, slightly move it fwd and back to see if you can induce the same results.

Might be the manual to automatic switch. Try switching it back and forth.

The OP has this on 6G now seeing it’s a 2024. Apparently there are some others experiencing the same issues.

So much for the 10R60 learning from the 10R80 experience.

Sample size of 1, but I had higher hopes out of Ford.
