I worked at a major aerospace company that makes fighter jets. The workers there dressed similar to the ones in the Ford video. It doesn't mean they don't have pride in what they do. Customers toured the plant often, was never an issue.

My vote is for Canadian Tuxedo for uniforms. Make the process of rewriting negotiated Ford-UAW Union Contracts worth the hassle in the end.

The most remarkable thing I saw on car plants was Regensburg Germany, BMW plant couple years ago.

They were running every model on same line. A little two seat sport thing with a big SUV behind it and then a four door, with something else behind that. The tour ran from sheetmetal rolls cut into parts to massive field of robots welding little pieces into bigger parts and so on. Man, it was awesome.

Thing I remember was on entry were line of vending machines, including four selling different kinds of beer! I asked the guide about that. They tried to pull the beer vending machines out according to him and workers threatened strike years ago. They can have a beer any time they want. Germany. This vid was super you posted.
